I am out of the office starting Friday June 19th, 2026. I will be back in my office on Monday June 29th.
While I am away, I will have very limited access to email.
While I am away, if you are current, established patient and have a **life-threatening emergency**:
1) If you have a medicating psychiatrist and they are available while I am away, that person should be your first call.
2) If you do NOT have a medicating psychiatrist, call Dr. Sam Lashley at 703-362-7416 who is providing emergency coverage while I am away. Leave a message for him and be sure include your phone number.
3) If he is not able to get back to you in the time in which you require, please call 9-1-1 or go to your closest hospital emergency room. DO NOT EMAIL IN AN EMERGENCY.
4) The Suicide and Crisis Helpline (9-8-8) is available from any mobile phone or landline.
5) I will return non-urgent email and phone messages regarding matters of routine business (inquiries about appointments, cancellations/reschedules) when I return to the office.
